Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking a
career-driven Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeler
to join a rapidly growing
civil engineering consultancy specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure. This role involves
leading hydraulic modeling projects , managing schedules, conducting performance analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers on
sanitary sewer collection system and potable water distribution modeling projects
throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Key Responsibilities: Support the overall Project Manager by handling
project management tasks for hydraulic modeling assignments, including scoping, hours estimation, and deliverables. Create, update, and calibrate hydraulic models
for water/wastewater/stormwater conveyance systems. Analyze system performance, predict potential issues, and develop
engineering solutions . Prepare
calculations, models, and technical reports
for utility conveyance and infrastructure projects. Provide design status updates and ensure
projects are delivered on time and within budget . Conduct
quality control and quality assurance
checks per project management plans. Lead and mentor design staff in
hydraulic modeling processes . Collaborate with sub-consultants, internal teams, and clients, attending meetings and presenting technical solutions. Prepare
alternative studies, evaluations, and finalized reports
for clients. Perform or review
design computations and engineering deliverables
(plans, specifications, and estimates). Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelors degree
in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited). 8+ years of experience
in hydraulic modeling or water/wastewater engineering. Proficiency with
hydraulic modeling software
(InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, KY Pipe, EPA-SWMM, etc.). Strong knowledge of
hydraulic designs, sewer rehabilitation, and water/sewer design . Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proven expertise in
engineering economics and technical report writing . Nice to Have: Professional Engineer (PE) License . Experience working with
