Job Description Summary: Lead the development, progression, and tracking of pre-construction and all construction schedules, including self-perform work. Perform delay and productivity analysis, manage claims to ensure timely and profitable project completion. Job Responsibilities and Duties: Perform all essential Assistant Project Controls responsibilities. Manage project costs and understand our financial systems. Monitor project expenditures against budgets and identify overruns. Train self-perform project teams in baseline manpower, labor productivity, and cost tracking. Collaborate with project managers and accounting teams for accurate financial reporting. Prepare, present, and negotiate change orders and claims. Manage contract project controls and scheduling requirements. Track and communicate KPIs and dashboards with self-perform teams and operations. Identify and assess project risks, proposing mitigation strategies. Improve dashboards, KPIs, and trends in collaboration with teams. Develop contingency plans with project managers and monitor their implementation. Evaluate project performance indicators and recommend corrective actions. Support development of delay and productivity claims. Set up labor productivity tracking and communicate production goals. Maintain and validate preconstruction and baseline schedules and narratives. Review project schedules using industry-standard software, identifying critical path activities. Conduct regular schedule reviews to identify delays or conflicts and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure project controls are aligned with financial reporting by collaborating with finance and accounting teams. Review schedules for completeness and compliance with standards. Implement project controls plans and procedures for efficient project execution. Conduct audits of project documentation for compliance. Follow best practices for P6 database management. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Skills and Experience: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent. At least 7 years of construction experience, including 5 years in Project Controls. Experience in scheduling and productivity claims is a plus. Knowledge of construction scheduling and Critical Path Method. Understanding of construction methods, processes, and cost accounting. Proficiency with P6 Professional, Microsoft Suite, and Bluebeam. Ability to read and interpret contracts, plans, and specifications. Experience with virtual construction technology systems.
