David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable. We have strong aspirations to become the most popular high-protein bar in North America and beyond. Role : The Special Projects Manager supports our Discovery function, the team responsible for laying the groundwork for sustained growth. Discovery focuses on two critical areas : brand and product strategy. This team identifies future customer needs and plants the seeds for the next generation of brands, products, and innovations at David. Were looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial generalist who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings a sense of ownership. Youll help shape the business by leading key cross-functional initiatives, analyzing emerging opportunities, and supporting our systems and processes as we scale. Responsibilities Lead special projects, which may include : Supporting new product innovation Navigating manufacturing or supply chain changes Executing brand campaigns or stunt launches Launching apparel / activewear Contributing to science and research efforts (e.g., clinical trials) Assisting with strategic recruiting Support discovery commercial needs Analyze data, trends, and the competitive landscape to generate insights and strategic recommendations Help build the internal infrastructure to support Discoverys work Strengthen systems and processes that enable scale, speed, and clarity Collaborate across teams to bring new ideas to lifefrom strategy through execution What youll bring : 2+ years of relevant experience in consulting, investing, strategy, bizops, or early-stage startups Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity Proven ability to lead projects independently Comfortable navigating ambiguity and switching between high-level thinking and hands-on work Self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly High IQ / intellectual horsepower Low ego, high self-awareness, and eagerness to learn Desire to help build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat Practicalities & Benefits : This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together. Salary : $120-150K, per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets. Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation. 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance. 401(k) with 4% match. Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
