Project Manager / Operations Manager Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Planner Scheduler to join our team in Anaheim. In this role, you will serve as the owner's representative (owner's rep) and will be responsible for leading planning discussions with stakeholders, including construction, ride and show, themed entertainment, and other teams. You will develop, maintain, and manage the master schedule using Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling software, ensuring all project timelines are met from the owner's perspective. Cost loading experience is to ensure budget alignment with the project schedule. The successful candidate will have a strong background in P6 scheduling and cost loading, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the project meets deadlines and quality standards. While themed entertainment experience is , it is not required. Key Responsibilities: Owner's Representative Role:
Act as the owner's representative, ensuring that the project schedule aligns with the owner's expectations, goals, and quality standards. Lead Planning Discussions:
Facilitate and lead planning meetings with stakeholders from construction, ride and show, themed entertainment, and other teams to ensure alignment on project schedules and milestones. Master Schedule Development:
Create, maintain, and manage the master schedule using Primavera P6, ensuring it is realistic, achievable, and integrated across all project departments. Progress Monitoring:
Continuously monitor and track project progress, milestones, and deadlines using P6, adjusting schedules as needed to ensure project timelines are adhered to. Resource Allocation:
Collaborate with project managers to ensure that resources are allocated effectively and in accordance with the schedule using P6. Cost Loading:
Utilize cost loading techniques within P6 to align project costs with the schedule, ensuring the project's financial performance is tracked and monitored in tandem with scheduling milestones. Risk Management:
Identify scheduling and cost risks from the owner's perspective and develop strategies to mitigate delays, utilizing P6 to suggest adjustments where necessary. Reporting:
Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, forecasts, and schedule adjustments based on P6 data, ensuring all reporting reflects the owner’s requirements and budget constraints. Scheduling Integration:
Work closely with various departments (construction, themed entertainment, show development) to integrate all schedules and ensure synchronization in P6. Stakeholder Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related matters, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams and ensuring the owner's needs are met. Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify and resolve scheduling and cost conflicts, leveraging P6 to suggest adjustments that minimize project delays and align with the owner’s objectives. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling. Proven experience with Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling software. Experience in an owner's representative (owner's rep) role, ensuring that the project schedule aligns with the owner's expectations and quality standards. Cost loading experience within Primavera P6, including aligning costs to project tasks and milestones for tracking and forecasting. Experience leading planning discussions and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Themed entertainment experience is but not required. Skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (P6) scheduling software, including cost loading techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage schedules in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of project scheduling best practices and critical path method (CPM). Problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively address scheduling and cost conflicts, keeping the owner’s interests at the forefront. Qualifications: Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is a plus. Industry Experience:
