The Assistant Vice President in the Middle Office will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's initiative to become a US Government Primary Dealer. The candidate will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, manage FR2004 reporting, support the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) operations, and assist the Fixed Income primary and secondary trading businesses. This role involves handling all middle office operational functions, including FR2004 reporting, supporting Client auction process, and overseeing the lifecycle of trades for the Flow Products Rates and Credit Trading Desks and Institutional Investor Sales Desks. Responsibilities Possess in-depth knowledge of FR2004 reporting and submission requirements, ensuring accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly submissions, as well as responding to any ad hoc requests from Client. Collaborate with business analysts and vendors to gather requirements, assess current capabilities, perform data analysis, design and mapping, and assist with business and functional requirement documentation. Identify and address any gaps in setting up the FR2004 reporting infrastructure. Facilitate information gathering and documentation submission required by regulatory bodies for the broker-dealer's onboarding process. Assist with system configuration, setup, and testing. Collaborate with relevant regulatory bodies to understand application processes, reporting requirements, and ongoing obligations for market participants. Support various US Federal Open Market Operations. Provide training and support to the team regarding reporting requirements and communication protocols. Work with settlement teams concerning Client Bank processes, netting, and settlement systems. Monitor and address any canceled or corrected tickets to determine necessary actions in the back-office system. Communicate trade recaps to clients and request allocations. Address email queries from stakeholders. Monitor trading panels and systems to ensure smooth operations. Facilitate communication between the front office and settlements. Address any queries from stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a business analyst or market operations role, preferably within a broker-dealer or financial institution. Thorough understanding of financial markets and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences. Proficiency in brokerage systems such as Bloomberg and other relevant platforms.
