Senior Electrical Engineer Job Summary: LAN Associates is a mid-sized multi-disciplinary firm seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. This role offers opportunities to develop new skills on various building projects and advance your career. Responsibilities include electrical design, drafting, client interaction, and mentoring junior staff. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: Mentor and develop junior staff Coordinate and design electrical projects per industry standards and regulations Perform engineering tasks for project development, design, and construction Prepare proposals and participate in submissions Collaborate with architects, owners, vendors, and officials throughout project phases Conduct construction administration including review of shop drawings, RFIs, and coordination with contractors Assist with job site observations and project reports Manage project scope, budget, and schedule Develop applications, permits, reports, and specifications Attend and lead client and project meetings Utilize electrical design calculations and software tools Required Qualifications: 7+ years experience in AEC industry (up to 10 years) Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field PE or EIT certification, aiming for PE licensure in NJ & NY Proficiency with AutoCAD and electrical standards Client-facing experience in building projects Mentoring experience for junior engineers Ability to read construction documents Strong project and team management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Valid driver’s license and willingness for local travel (up to 20%) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in architectural/engineering firms REVIT and power analysis software experience a plus Similar titles include: Electrical Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Lead Electrical Engineer, Principal Electrical Engineer.
