Expected salary range of $121,500 to $135,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION As a Senior Simulator Software Developer, you will be pivotal in creating and modifying the simulation software utilized in the Main Control Room Simulator at our nuclear power plant. This includes software maintenance, implementing minor plant modifications, and enhancing functionalities with minimal support. You will operate independently while advising the training department on simulator technology and will coordinate simulator tasks by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your relationship with the training department, project managers, and Clean Energy Center (CEC) engineers will ensure that project requirements are met effectively. This position is focused on developing and improving features, mentoring peers, maintaining coding standards, and fostering a collaborative, energetic environment. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead CEC Main Control Room Simulator projects, from planning to execution. Design, build, and manage simulation solutions aligned with project goals. Create, modify, and document simulation software logic and dynamic models to meet business needs. Manage software configuration and provide innovative technology solutions. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues using established processes. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Provide second-tier support to other simulators as necessary. Engage with business partners to analyze requirements and deliver effective solutions. Participate in additional tasks or emergency response duties per company policy. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear) or a related science with 5 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree in engineering with 7 years of relevant experience in programming technologies. Must maintain necessary access requirements and pass a favorable medical examination as per position duties. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in mechanical or nuclear engineering with 7+ years of experience. Knowledge of nuclear power plant operations and business processes. Proficiency in FORTRAN and C programming languages. Experience with graphic design software, Visual Studio, and model builder software. Familiarity with Simulator Executive Systems and engineering print reading. Demonstrated leadership in project management and configuration management using GIT. Experience in designing logic and dynamic systems. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly. Team-oriented with self-motivation to thrive in a dynamic environment.
