General Statement of Duties:
The Student Engagement Peer Assistant plays an important support role within the Career Development Center (CDC), working closely with the Student Director, Events Coordinator, and Student Director, Student Engagement to assist in the planning and execution of student engagement events. This position is ideal for a student who is detail-oriented, creative, and enthusiastic about student involvement and digital marketing.
Impact of the Role:
The Student Engagement Peer Assistant plays a hands-on role in strengthening the visibility and impact of the Career Development Center on campus. By supporting events and embracing a modern, student-centered marketing strategy, this role helps connect more students with the resources and opportunities available through the CDC.
Responsibilities:
? Support the execution of all student engagement events sponsored by the CDC. ? Utilize Trello to manage assigned tasks, update progress, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities. ? Collaborate with the Student Director, Events Coordinator, and Student Director, Student Engagement to maintain event timelines and ensure logistics and communication tasks are completed. ? Participate in the development and delivery of creative marketing content, particularly short-form videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram, as the CDC transitions away from traditional flyer-based promotions. ? Assist in tracking event registration and gathering feedback to help assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies. ? Attend and support CDC events as needed to ensure smooth operations and a positive student experience.

? Strong organizational and time management skills ? Willingness to learn and use Trello for task tracking ? Interest in student engagement and event support ? Creative mindset and comfort with video content creation or willingness to learn ? Dependable and proactive with strong follow-through ? Comfortable working in a team and taking direction from peer leaders
