The Technology Sales Engineer (internally called 'Brand Technical Specialist') within IBM's Data Platform brand focuses on accelerating enterprise success by enhancing their data understanding. IBM’s Data and AI organization drives enterprise AI initiatives with trust and transparency, facilitating digital transformation, personalized customer experiences, and data-driven decisions. As a Brand Technical Specialist, you'll develop client relationships, understand their needs, earn trust, and demonstrate how IBM's solutions can solve their problems and deliver value. Key Responsibilities
Design client strategies for Data & AI infrastructure. Define IBM Data & AI solutions to enhance technology stacks. Provide proof of concepts and simplify complex topics for client education. Build credibility and trust to close complex Cloud technology deals. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Technical & Professional Skills: Experience in Technical Sales, Solution Consulting, or Sales Engineering. Strong SQL proficiency and understanding. Knowledge of databases like DB2, SQLServer, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle. Experience with sales lifecycle and driving customer outcomes. Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels. Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence. Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships. Preferred Experience: Experience with IBM Data Management solutions (IBM DB2, Cloudera, Netezza, etc.). Experience with competitors like Microsoft, Snowflake, AWS, Oracle is a plus.
