Supports enterprise-wide activities to ensure quality and compliance in conducting, maintaining, and communicating provider credentialing, privileging, and primary source verification. Serves as a resource to, and collaborates with, others to advance the quality of practitioners and patient safety of the facility. Location/s: Main Campus Jackson, Remote Education & Experience
Degree (Associate or Bachelor) and one (1) year of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, or healthcare compliance. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: N/A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Compiles, evaluates, and presents provider-specific data collected for review by one or more decision-making bodies. Analyzes applications and supporting documents for correctness and completeness and communicates with the provider and support personnel regarding non-compliance or missing information. Recognizes, investigates, and validates discrepancies and adverse information obtained from the application, primary source verifications, or other sources. Collaborates with leaders to develop and maintain a facility-specific, criteria-based clinical privileging system in accordance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Applies clearly defined privileging process to all providers. Maintains credentialing database to ensure that accurate and current information is available to all stakeholders. Educates providers and support staff on requirements and processes for credentialing and privileging. Participates in the organization and presentation of information for and/or communicates with external auditors as necessary. Participates in ongoing assessment of governing documents (bylaws, rules and regulations, policies) and collaborates with supervisors and medical staff leaders to ensure continuous compliance. Provides functional supervision and training to lower level assistants as necessary. Physical and Environmental Demands: Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, constant sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and occasional walking.
