Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Data Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Veritas NetBackup, specifically Version 10.3x, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. Your expertise will be crucial in safeguarding data assets and improving backup and recovery processes. Key Responsibilities: Veritas NetBackup Operations: Oversee daily operations and maintenance of Veritas NetBackup (Version 10.3x), ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Implement best practices for backup strategies, job scheduling, and policy management. Advanced NetBackup Functionality: Use NetBackup Access V8 and Virtual File Replicator (VFR) to enhance data replication and recovery. Manage and maintain the NetBackup 5340 appliance, utilizing AIR for seamless replication and disaster recovery. Integration with S3 Protocols: Configure and optimize S3 protocols for communication with PURE Storage, ensuring immutable backup images. Collaborate with NetApp storage solutions for integrated data protection strategies. OpsCenter Utilization: Use OpsCenter to analyze NetBackup data, generate reports, and create dashboards for stakeholders. Cohesity Backup Operations: Manage daily backup operations using Cohesity versions 6.8.2 and 7.x, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance. Qualifications: Experience with Veritas NetBackup Access V8 Experience with NetBackup 5340 appliance using AIR replication Experience with Cohesity 6.8.2 and 7.x backup operations Strong knowledge of data replication technologies including VFR, AIR, S3 protocols Familiarity with storage solutions such as PURE and NetApp Proficiency in OpsCenter for data analysis Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Relevant certifications (e.g., Veritas Certified Professional, Cohesity Certified Professional) are a plus Additional Details: Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Engineering and Information Technology Industries: Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
