We are seeking a
Principal Systems Architect
to lead the design of scalable systems and software solutions that meet business and technical needs across web and enterprise systems. This role involves defining and maintaining architecture standards for applications, middleware, databases, and distributed systems, including both in-house and third-party solutions. A key focus will be modernizing supply chain architecture by integrating on-prem SAP with cloud-native microservices and API-driven ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate third-party products for integration into company solutions and help define software development processes.
Lead architecture efforts involving SAP ECC/S4 HANA and cloud-native supply chain integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, 3PL/4PL) using REST APIs and middleware.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, collaborating with development teams for implementation across e-commerce, inventory, and logistics systems.
Implement advanced capabilities such as BOPIS, real-time delivery tracking, and warehouse automation.
Define system integration standards aligned with enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF).
Design hybrid architectures leveraging on-prem systems and cloud services (AWS, Azure, OCI).
Participate in solution blueprinting and cloud migration planning focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
Conduct architecture reviews, create design documentation, and mentor teams on best practices for microservices, DevOps, and API management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, optimized solutions, ensuring performance and data protection.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (required).
Technology certifications (e.g., Java, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) are a plus.
7-10+ years of experience in business environments, with more than 7 years in software or systems architecture roles.
Supply Chain domain expertise is essential.
Strong background in systems operations, infrastructure, network troubleshooting, resiliency, and security.
Preferable experience with SAP BASIS, ABAP, microservices, Kubernetes, Java/SpringBoot.
Skills & Abilities
Leadership, software development, process management, analytics, problem-solving.
Expertise in SAP integration with cloud-native systems, microservices design, containerization, and serverless architectures.
Ability to document architecture and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
Experience balancing cost, performance, and complexity in solution design.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience implementing supply chain features like BOPIS, last-mile delivery, warehouse automation, and logistics integrations.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
Experience managing technical debt and TCO in long-term architecture strategies.
Familiarity with data privacy, encryption, and compliance standards.
Project leadership experience in Agile environments with strong communication skills.
Certifications Relevant industry certifications in cloud architecture, SAP, or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) are advantageous.
