The Principal Systems Architect is responsible for designing creative and scalable systems and software solutions that address business and technical needs on the web and across enterprise systems. This role helps define and maintain architecture and technology standards for applications, middleware, databases, and distributed systems—including both in-house and third-party solutions. As part of our digital evolution, this architect will also modernize supply chain architecture, integrating on-prem SAP with cloud-native microservices and API-driven ecosystems. Provide direct technical evaluation of third-party products for inclusion in T-Mobile solutions. Help define software development processes. Lead architecture efforts involving SAP ECC/S4 HANA and cloud-native supply chain integrations (e.g., WMS, TMS, 3PL/4PL) using REST APIs and middleware. Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and collaborate with development teams for implementation across e-commerce, inventory, and logistics systems. Lead the implementation of advanced capabilities including BOPIS (Buy Online Pickup In-Store), real-time delivery tracking, and warehouse automation. Define system integration standards and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF). Own hybrid architecture designs that leverage the reliability of on-prem systems with the agility of serverless, container-based cloud services. Participate in solution blueprinting and cloud migration planning for supply chain systems focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency (e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI). Conduct architecture reviews, create design documentation, and mentor teams in applying best practices for microservices, DevOps, and API management. Collaborate across teams — Product Owners, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure — to deliver aligned, secure, and optimized solutions. Ensure performance tuning, system resilience, and data protection in both legacy and modern environments. Education, Work Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related subject area. (Required) Technology certifications (such as Java, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP) a plus. (Required) 7-10+ years’ experience in business environments. (Required) More than 7 years of experience as software or systems architect, engineer, or programmer. (Required) Supply Chain domain knowledge is a must. (Required) Expertise in systems operational improvements, systems infrastructure, network troubleshooting, resiliency, security experience is required. SAP background with BASIS, ABAP experience is preferable. Experience in Microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Java/SpringBoot is preferable. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) and cloud-native development. Experience managing technical debt and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) in long-term architecture strategies. Familiarity with data privacy, encryption, and compliance standards in enterprise systems. Project leadership within Agile environments, with strong communication skills to bridge business and technical teams. Licenses and Certifications
Relevant industry certifications in cloud architecture, SAP, or enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF) are a plus. At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel and Compliance

Base Pay Range: $123,800 - $223,300 Corporate Bonus Target: 20% The pay range above is for a general base pay range for a successful candidate.
