SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector performs inspections of aviation accessories in accordance with technical data provided in Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, Airworthiness Directives, Regulations, and Quality procedures approved by or acceptable to the FAA. The role ensures product integrity and compliance with customer requirements before completing inspection processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct thorough inspections of aviation accessories to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, industry standards, and company quality assurance procedures.
Perform detailed inspections of incoming and in-process accessories to verify adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to inspect parts and assemblies for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions following company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and CMMs to ensure accurate inspections.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of relevant or technical work experience, or an Associate's degree in lieu of 2 years of work experience.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers & calipers) and inspection equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and CMMs.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise decisiveness on product acceptance.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in quality inspection within the aviation MRO industry.
Experience with quality management systems.
OTHER:
