Senior Accountant
to join the team on a

Who You Are
A detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA designation is a strong plus
You bring 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within an educational institution or nonprofit environment
Skilled at managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting without compromising accuracy
A strong communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues and external partners
Proficient in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas) and comfortable working in Google Workspace and accounting platforms (experience with Veracross or similar systems is a bonus)
Known for your discretion and ability to handle sensitive financial information with care
What You’ll Do
Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly, including fixed assets, prepaids, and payables/receivables
Prepare journal entries with thorough documentation and ensure consistency across the general ledger
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting
Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of schedules and audit-ready documentation
Review reconciliations completed by others and contribute to process documentation and improvements
Generate ad hoc reports and provide analytical support to finance leadership and other departments
What Success Looks Like
Financial records are accurate, timely, and audit-ready, with minimal discrepancies
Key reconciliations and journal entries are completed on schedule and with precision
Internal stakeholders receive clear, actionable financial insights that support decision-making
Accounting processes are continuously refined for greater efficiency and clarity
You are seen as a trusted resource within the finance team and a reliable partner across the organization
Pay Rate Range: $50-55 per hour, based on experience.
