We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Tax Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone beginning their career in public accounting or with up to 2 years of tax experience. The role offers exposure to a wide range of clients, including closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals, providing an excellent foundation for career development in tax.We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing federal and state tax returns for small to medium-sized businesses (Forms 1065 and 1120S), including multi-state filings Import and reconcile client trial balances into tax preparation software Support the review process by checking trial balances for accuracy and assisting in identifying timing differences Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040), including those involving multiple K-1s and multi-state filings Conduct basic tax research on federal, state, and local tax matters Communicate with clients to gather tax documents and clarify information Stay current on changes in tax laws and compliance requirements Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred 0–2 years of experience in public accounting or tax (internships accepted) Familiarity with common IRS forms such as 1065, 1120S, and 1040 Proficiency in Excel and experience with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Multi-lingual a plus (Portuguese, Italian, and/or Spanish preferred based on demographics and client list) Exposure to multi-state or composite tax filings Interest in continued learning and professional growth
