We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focusedSenior Tax Accountant with 3–5 years of experience in public accounting. This role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring junior staff, and directly supporting clients across a range of industries. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns for partnerships (1065) and S corporations (1120S)
Prepare and review individual income tax returns (1040) for high-net-worth individuals, including complex K-1 reporting and multi-state compliance
Analyze and reconcile trial balances and import data into tax software
Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities for clients
Conduct tax research and provide summaries related to federal, state, and local income and sales tax issues
Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve questions and ensure timely delivery of tax filings
Assist with workflow management and review work of staff-level associates
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and industry trends
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
CPA license or actively pursuing CPA designation
3–5 years of recent public accounting tax experience
Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Experience working with multi-state entities and composite returns
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Client-service mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred Skills: Experience in managing multiple engagements and deadlines
Prior exposure to a variety of industries and entity types
Ability to coach and mentor junior team members
Multi-lingual a plus
(Portuguese, Italian and/or Spanish preferred based on demographics and client list).
This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs. We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000–$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
