Job Description: Cost Accountant
Company Overview: Ferrara/KME, part of REV Group (NYSE: REVG), is a leading manufacturer of fire trucks and emergency response vehicles. Position Summary: The Cost Accountant will manage operations, logistics, and inventory control functions related to financial impact. The role requires understanding activity-based costing, lean manufacturing, and ERP systems (preferably Great Plains). The position reports to the Controller and involves significant ownership of the cost accounting function. Key Responsibilities: Sales, Cost of Sales, and Margin Analysis:
Develop tracking methodologies, support planning processes, analyze cost accuracy. Inventory and Capital:
Handle ERP closing processes, inventory valuation, physical inventory, month-end close, and forecasting. Manufacturing and Operational Costs:
Analyze labor and overhead costs, monitor warranty costs, support capital investment reporting, and optimize ERP system transactions. Metrics and Corporate Reporting:
Manage headcount, labor hours, inventory levels, and other key metrics. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing. Proficiency in Excel; project management experience is a plus. Preferred Skills:
