Statewide Insurance Defense firm seeks 2+ year Associate Attorney for Jacksonville with hybrid schedule options. Immediate hire and up to $125k/yr before bonuses! A Bit About Us We are a boutique commercial litigation firm with multiple offices in Florida serving the entire state. We are looking to add an attorney to our insurance defense team with experience in any of the following areas: 1st party property, 3rd party property, construction defect, premises liability, product defects, trucking accidents. Must be capable of managing a large case load and attending hearings and trials in Jacksonville. Prior experience in litigation defense is required, preferably in the area of 3rd party property insurance or other comparable areas. Hybrid schedules are an option but you must be able to travel to court in Jacksonville when necessary. Why join us? Representing clients in a wide range of commercial litigation/insurance defense disputes. Regularly handling court appearances and depositions. Communicating with clients and providing timely reporting on case status. Developing strategies tailored to each client's unique situation to achieve successful outcomes. Working collaboratively with team members and partners to develop effective litigation strategies. Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions and appellate briefs, and managing discovery. Negotiating settlements for legal disputes. Complying with all legal standards and regulations. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in the State Bar. A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation/insurance defense, with a particular focus on first/third party property, trucking, premises liability, and construction defect cases. Proven background in courtroom, deposition, and mediation experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and effectively. Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable settlements for clients. Ability to work independently and manage a substantial caseload. High level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment. Proficient in MS Office and legal research platforms.
