Overview

Administrative Assistant role at Transdev North America in San Jose, California. Mobility Options by Transdev works with partner agencies to provide transportation options for passengers with disabilities. Salary Range: $20.22-$21.00 per hour. Benefits include: prorated.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and conduct outbound calls in a polite, timely manner.
  • Coordinate documents, correspondence and web pages, including letters, reports, emails, presentations, memos, faxes, etc.
  • Review documents and proofread for grammar, spelling, accuracy, consistency of terms, and completeness; ensure text and graphics adhere to guidelines and standards.
  • Acquire, review, input, and format accurate data into spreadsheets, databases and other electronic tools.
  • Interface and communicate with internal and external customers; direct people to appropriate resources; research solutions and respond to email and phone inquiries with input from direct supervisor.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of improvement processes; participate in self and team audits and resulting process improvements.
  • Develop a strong network within the department to answer questions, solve problems, and execute responsibilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information; comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Represent Mobility Options in a professional manner to service partners and the community.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • 1+ years of Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and understand maps and transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes.
  • Clear telephone manner and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member; computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to interact with diverse clients and handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact.
  • Pre-employment drug test; willingness to undergo a criminal and employment background check after offer.
  • Travel requirement: <5% for occasional meetings.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work is primarily indoors in an office or cubicle; long periods seated and using computer equipment.
  • Occasional local travel may be required.
