Base pay range $63,500.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

CDH, PC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant - Bilingual Japanese to join our accounting team. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Itasca, Illinois. The staff accountant is responsible for preparing and compiling financial statements for external clients, along with assisting clients with other accounting functions they may need.

Professional Responsibilities

Work with financial statements, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

Assist with the compilation of balance sheets and income statements.

Create and maintain client financial transaction records.

Compile financial reports for client management, such as cash revenue and expenditure analysis, accounts payable and receivable.

Assist clients with month-end closings.

Maintain cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Maintain inventory ledgers and perform other bookkeeping responsibilities.

Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy and proper coding.

Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Perform financial calculations, including amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.

Possess knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, banking, and financial data analysis and reporting.

Understand implications of new information for current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Determine how client systems should operate and how environmental changes affect outcomes.

Develop relationships with clients to ensure efficient information flow.

Work frequently with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, ProFx, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Sage Intact, and Bill.com.

Personal Responsibilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.

Current CPA license is a plus.

At least 1 year of public accounting experience or 3 years of industry experience.

Experience with accounting software is advantageous.

Knowledge of federal and state taxes is a plus.

Willingness to travel occasionally within the firm’s market area.
