Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high voltage transmission and substation electrical industry. Perform duties necessary to complete assigned task under the direct supervision of Project Supervisor. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean work area at all times. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. Responsibilities And Duties Clearly understand and comply with Brink Constructors and Federal Job Safety Requirements (OSHA). Report to assigned job site location on time as directed. Maintain and properly store tools and equipment. Proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. Organize materials and tools to maintain a clean and neat work area. Assist in various job duties as directed. Properly install assigned work on wood and steel structures. Ability to quickly learn functions of the jobs and equipment operations (crane, flatbed truck, trailer, forklift, aerial lift). Install switchgear and its terminations and install all sizes of conduit to ensure timely installations. Use hand tools safely (pliers, hammer, wrenches, cutters, etc.) and safely operate power tools, saws, threaders, and hydraulic benders. Work from all types of aerial lifts and operate lifts as necessary in a safe manner. Perform work at various heights upwards to 120 feet from aerial lift or climbing. Read labels, job site maps/directions, manuals and written instructions accurately. Acquire/maintain personal hand tools and equipment as directed. Valid Driver\'s License and own transportation; CDL preferred. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned to assist with task completion. Working Conditions Job may require working in all elements depending on location and season. Operation of equipment without climate control. Must use construction site sanitary facilities. Must wear PPE at all times. Repetitive use of arms, legs, hands and fingers. Work 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week or more as required with little advanced notice. This position may be subject to assist with work on energized lines. Physical Requirements Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead. Lift up to 50 lbs. Climb structures of wood, tubular steel, and lattice steel. Good vision/hearing (normal or corrected). Ability to work while constantly moving on feet. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School graduate or G.E.D. required. Lineman course graduate or equivalent experience is helpful. Preferred Skills Previous electrical line and/or construction experience is preferred. Licenses Current driver\'s license.
