This job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT medical card. What You'll Do

JOB SUMMARY: Work will consist of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, and associated materials and equipment within the high voltage transmission and substation electrical industry. Perform duties necessary to complete assigned task under the direct supervision of Project Supervisor. Employee should keep all materials, tools and equipment in an orderly fashion and maintain a clean work area at all times. Demonstrating safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Clearly understand and comply with Brink Constructors and Federal Job Safety Requirements (OSHA). Report to assigned job site location on time as directed. Maintain and properly store tools and equipment. Proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials. Accurately organize materials and tools to maintain a clean work area. Assist in various job duties as directed. Properly install assigned work on wood and steel structures. Ability to quickly learn functions of the jobs. Ability to install switchgear and its terminations. Ability to install all sizes of conduit to ensure timely installations. Learn equipment operations (crane, flatbed truck, trailer, forklift, aerial lift). Use hand tools (pliers, hammer, crescent wrench, side cutters, channel locks, screwdriver). Safely use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders and KO punches. Work from aerial lifts and operate lifts safely as needed. Work at various heights up to 120 feet from aerial lift or climbing. Read labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions. Acquire/maintain personal hand tools and other tools necessary for this position (line-worker belt, hooks, scare strap, tool pouch, nut bag and line-worker high-top boots). Maintain a valid Driver’s License and have own transportation. CDL preferred. Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned, to assist with task completion. WORKING CONDITIONS: Job may involve all weather and site elements (heat, cold, rain, snow). Operation of equipment without climate control may be required. Must be able to use construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns). Must have and carry required hand tools at all times (belt up to ~40 lbs). Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (hard hats, safety glasses, safety harnesses as required). 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week, and additional as required with little or no advance notice. This position may involve assist with work on energized lines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – (employee should be able to perform essential job functions with/without reasonable accommodations): Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Climb structures of wood, tubular steel, or lattice steel. Good vision/hearing (normal or corrected). Ability to work while constantly moving on feet. What You'll Bring

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School graduate or G.E.D. required. Lineman course graduate or equivalent experience is helpful. PREFERRED SKILLS: Previous electrical line and/or construction experience preferred. LICENSES: Current driver’s license. What You'll Get
