Job Summary

Employee is responsible for performing all collection procedures. Employee is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They will advise and assist in the orientation and training of other personnel on equipment and software as necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year of relevant phlebotomy experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ASCP, ASPT, AMT, or NHA (New hire and/or new phlebotomist must obtain certification within 6 months of hire), required.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform laboratory tasks; ability to communicate effectively with medical staff; skill in reacting calmly to emergencies; skill in maintaining quality assurance; ability to establish effective working relationships; ability to follow protocols; work independently; communicate clearly.
