The purpose of this position is to fulfill accounting and administrative functions and to ensure County funds are handled correctly. This position makes this possible by adhering to Arizona Statutes on governmental accounting and reporting as well as all Federal mandates. This position communicates with Departments on relevant issues, prepares the County End-of-the-Month Report, maintains files, and monitors County accounting system monthly to ensure accurate expenses and revenues are coded to the correct Department funds. Works to maintain accurate data and support to Treasurer’s Office accounting duties.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED |
Associates Degree in Accounting or related field. |
MINIMUM YEARS OF DIRECTLY RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED |
Three (3) years treasury services experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS REQUIRED/PREFERRED |
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License if position duties require. |
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED |
Accounting; banking; clerical; accounts payable; database management; Federal, State, Local laws, regulations and Statutes. |
SKILLS REQUIRED |
Communicating diplomatically; analyzing operations; troubleshooting; reading; customer service; problem recognition; analyzing systems and multi-tasking. |
