Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, match payable documents and enter accounts payable data, sales invoice data and other information into the computer system and source documents.
  • Apply payments to the proper customer accounts, and assist with customer service calls.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Office Manager, assist with counter sales and taking orders over the phone.
  • Operate during hours Monday through Friday.
  • Receive customer telephone calls and direct or take messages as necessary.
  • Assist in all physical inventory counts and enter inventory items from receivers for resale.
  • Build displays and keep merchandise stocked on shelves; coordinate with the office manager when needed.
  • Maintain pricing on all resale and distribution items.
  • Open and close cash drawer daily, balance monies, and send daily reports to Accounts Receivable.
  • Observe all company safety rules and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Spanish speaking preferred, NOT REQUIRED.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Receive customer telephone calls.
  • Match invoices, purchase orders and receiving documents and approve for payment.
  • Apply checks to the proper customer account by entering information into the computer system; resolve any discrepancies found.
  • Use the computer system, calculator and other common office equipment to perform job duties.
  • Sort office mail and put in proper boxes.
  • Research and help resolve questions and problems with customer accounts.
  • Enter all inventory items from receivers for resale.
  • Retrieve needed information for credit department.
  • File all office records as directed.
  • Observe and maintain pricing on items.
  • Open and close cash drawer daily, balance monies, and send daily reports to Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Spanish speaking preferred, NOT REQUIRED.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Lift products weighing up to 50 pounds each at heights from floor level to four feet high.
  • Withstand continuous standing, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and stooping.
  • Provide assistance to others in moving heavier or bulky objects.
  • Withstand repetitive motion of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
  • Function in workplace environmental conditions including cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts.
  • Have good hearing for safety reasons.

Specific Safety Rules For Inside Sales

  • Follow lifting and back safety rules when handling pallets, concrete products and other inventory.
  • Follow safety procedures for noise, dust, rain and other environmental conditions as directed.
  • Follow safety guidelines for repetitive motion tasks.
  • Wear helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, and other PPE as applicable in yard or plant areas.
