The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, proven leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of financial reporting. This role will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, manage a team, implement financial controls, and contribute to the company\'s financial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of two accounting professionals.
• Collaborate with global accounting partners to accomplish company-wide goals.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Manage and coordinate external audits.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting function.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Provide support in M&A and new company integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Location: New York, NY (hybrid 2-3 days in office per week)
• Salary Range: USD $120,000 - $135,000 per year
• Employment type: Full-time
