Job Summary The Application Support Analyst position, reporting to the Business Applications Manager, is responsible for supporting business system users, troubleshooting business applications and systems, developing and supporting internal and external reporting solutions, and ensuring systems are running smoothly. The Application Support Analyst must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external teams to determine the root cause to address and resolve issues and to gather requirements, design and develop solutions. The Application Support Analyst must have full understanding of IT Applications and Systems, and a firm grasp of programming languages, such as

C#, PHP, Java, VBA and SQL .

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship. This role will be required to work onsite at our Memphis, TN Corporate headquarters office.

Responsibilities

Support company software applications, including but not limited to: Our Transportation Management System (TMS), Accounting applications such as Microsoft Great Plains, Document Management application, and Reporting and Data Visualization tools like SSRS and Power BI.

Responsible for monitoring, responding to, and prioritizing open service requests submitted through an incident management system

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application or infrastructure and integration issues.

Escalate alerts that cannot be resolved, if needed.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental initiatives

Develop scripts, services or applications that automate repeatable manual tasks

Documenting the technical processes around application support, as required

Work collaboratively with internal customers, team members and vendors on change requests, managing issues and establishing priorities

Ensure the performance of daily health checks of the applications

Responsible for User setup and administration in multiple systems

Fulfill Ad hoc reporting requests

Provide after-hours and/or weekend emergency support, as needed

Implement and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration between internal systems and third-party platforms

Utilize AI-powered tools and automation to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase support efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Sciences or related field

2+ Years of prior hands-on knowledge and experience working in an applications support and/or applications development environment required

Prior Experience as an Application Support Analyst preferred

Technical / Software Knowledge Requirements:

Hands-on Experience with C#, PHP, Java, and SQL in Microsoft SQL and MySQL databases

Knowledge of SQL in a Multiple-Database Environment

Experience with Microsoft SSRS/Power BI report design and creation

Must know how to work within Windows OS and be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, including: Excel, VBA, Outlook, Access and Word

Working knowledge of API architecture, design, and integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)

Familiarity with scripting and tools for process automation and monitoring (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Postman, Swagger)

Experience using AI or machine learning-enabled tools for troubleshooting, monitoring, or automating workflows is a strong plus

Must be well-organized, able to multi-task and manage time-sensitive projects

Problem-Solving: Understanding the root cause and offer solutions

Possess detailed knowledge of multiple systems, as well as an in-depth understanding of the functionality for these systems to troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues

Ability to work independently or within an in-person team environment, and/or cross-functionally with other departments and teams

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Effective oral and written communication skills. Will require communicating complex concepts to others of various levels of seniority and/or technical competence

Knowledge of accounting processes and financial systems (and specifically Great Plains) preferred

Transportation or logistics industry experience preferred
