Compensation $80,000 per year
Summary A Market Development Manager will play a fundamental role in achieving ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives through targeted visits and implementation of growth strategies for key markets. You will be a key source of market intel and trends and will identify opportunities to expand market share, increase revenue, and maintain profitability. You must be comfortable with both inside and outside sales processes and plan for 50% in-market work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand existing markets, and increase market share within Texas with possible expansion to surrounding states.
Conduct extended visits to key markets to increase sell-in and product saturation, and provide intel and feedback on competitive landscape and product opportunities.
Work closely with wholesale and third-party partners in markets, including sales presentations and distributor programming.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop unique value propositions, displays, and positioning strategies for key accounts.
Build, manage, and expand a database of prospects for each targeted market.
Develop third-party partners and wholesalers to support sales-driving activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce CRM of all interactions and lead activities.
Become an expert in Wyld products and industry knowledge.
Collaborate with team and leadership to provide market feedback, support, and tools to account managers and other sales staff to drive sales in new areas.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Business Development/Market Expansion
Experience working with or alongside distribution organizations
Familiarity with CRM and MS Office programs
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Able to multitask and work in a constantly fluctuating market
Good team player
Language: English, written and verbal
Math skills: basic arithmetic
Travel: 50% for market visits
Must be 21 years of age or older (state regulatory requirement)
