Overview
STV is seeking a motivated
Estimator
to join our PM/CM group. This position will be based in our New York City office or in Princeton, New Jersey. The role will support a wide range of projects across the NYC metropolitan area. Responsibilities
Collaborate with technical, professional, and managerial staff—as well as designers, consultants, and contractors—to coordinate and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Develop and/or oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates across all phases of design and construction.
Supervise quantity takeoffs and cost evaluations based on design documents, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
Review cost estimates prepared by third-party consultants and provide recommendations on their suitability for SCA (School Construction Authority) implementation.
Participate in cost-related negotiations and project discussions.
Assign, monitor, and review estimating tasks and deliverables.
Perform additional related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Services, or a related field from an accredited institution; equivalent experience or training in construction management may be considered.
At least
5 years
of full-time technical experience in the construction industry.
A minimum of
5 years
specifically in estimating within one or more of the following disciplines: architectural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems
Compensation
Compensation Range: $74,112.66 - $98,816.88 Benefits
