This role provides technical guidance, mentorship to junior engineers, and prioritizes workloads based on production needs.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will interpret complex designs, create 3D models, program multi-axis CNC machines, and implement process improvements to support efficient, high-quality production.

Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting all production processes related to the launch, manufacture, and testing of products within an assigned value stream or product line. This role provides technical guidance, mentorship to junior engineers, and prioritizes workloads based on production needs.
Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will interpret complex designs, create 3D models, program multi-axis CNC machines, and implement process improvements to support efficient, high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Program equipment, generate CNC code, and perform tool path simulations.
- Serve as the primary contact for design engineering and program management on manufacturing process issues.
- Create and maintain manufacturing methods, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and labor standards within ERP systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement (CI) and cost reduction initiatives.
- Design, construct, and validate tooling, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
- Optimize workflow and cell layout with a focus on waste reduction and process efficiency.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a machining environment.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality teams to support supplier development activities.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior manufacturing engineers.
- Support and resolve customer complaints and concerns related to manufacturing.
- Contribute to Lean manufacturing and companywide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Complete required training and follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
- 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of CAD and CAM software experience (Mastercam preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling software.
- Experience with tooling selection and fixture design.
- Ability to read and interpret complex 2D blueprints and 3D models.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
- Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machining equipment, including multi-axis (5+) programming.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills.
- Proven ability to implement process changes and train employees in a production environment.
- Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred (not required).
