Overview

The Phlebotomist role at Synectics Inc. involves patient interaction, blood collection, and specimen handling in accordance with established practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients.
• Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing according to established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure a safe, accurate, and professional experience.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Handle forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification
• Minimum of 6 months experience required; 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
• Keyboard/data entry experience
• Shift/Time Zone: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
