Description
Lead and facilitate the delivery of care for the patients within the Invasive Cardiology Department. Performs cardiovascular procedures in the Invasive Cardiology Department under the supervision of the Cardiologist and/or the Electrophysiologist at a level not requiring constant supervision of the technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment. Assumes responsibility for designated Lab and any procedures performed in that Lab as required. Responsible for basic patient care and quality customer service. Is cross-trained and multi-skilled in two or more cardiovascular modalities: Electrophysiology (EP), Cardiac Catheterization, and/or Structural Heart. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Must take call: CVTs working in the Cardiac Cath Lab must be available to be contacted and report to work within thirty (30) minutes. Graduation from an accredited Health Science program (Associate of Science degree or higher). Current licensure or registration in the state of Florida (excluding CVT) (through C.C.I.). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within ninety (90) days of date of hire. Three (3) years of experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath and/or Electrophysiology Lab. Current credentials: Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS and/or RCES), Radiological Tech (Registered) CV, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RCIS), or RN (RCIS). Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of hospital computer applications. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, with two (2) years in an interventional Cath Lab.
