PROJECT MANAGER Jamerson-Lewis Construction Lynchburg, Virginia Jamerson-Lewis Construction, a full-service commercial contractor based in Lynchburg, Virginia, is seeking a Project Manager. SUMMARY OF POSITION: A Project Manager (PM) develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interests of both the business and clients. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project and demonstrates characteristics of a mid-level leader. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinate all project activities with the Superintendent and Project Team. Oversee and manage all project finances and contract documents. Prepare and maintain the project schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent and subcontractors. Coordinate and implement the project budget. Supervise submittal log and process. Schedule and conduct regular owner and subcontractor meetings. Review and process all subcontractor RFI’s and RFP’s for approval. Prepare, distribute, and acquire approval of all Owner Change Order requests. Develop and distribute all subcontractor Change Orders and associated budget revisions. Develop and distribute monthly Owner Applications for payment. Supervise all project administrative logs and close-out activities. Manage multiple projects at varying stages within development cycles. Lead and enforce Jamerson-Lewis’ safety standards and requirements. Manage a project team, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring. Identify and resolve project issues and problems. Ensure project schedule adherence for timely and successful completion. Qualifications & Experience B.S. in Building Construction Management or related field. 7+ years of commercial construction experience as a Project Manager. Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or more. Experience in construction estimating, accounting, and document administration. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, and scheduling software (MS Project, Vista, Project Site). Experience with Building Information Modeling. Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Active team participant. JOB DETAILS: Type: Full-time / Permanent Location: Lynchburg, VA A drug test and background check are required.
