Assistant Project Manager role at

NOVO Construction, Inc.

with a minimum of 4+ years of commercial construction experience. Degree requirements include a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture. LEED AP preferred. Strong estimating, communication, and understanding of building trades, especially Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping trades. The candidate will report to the Project Manager or Project Executive and will be based at the project site, working directly with the Project Superintendent, with potential to manage project engineers and support staff. Responsibilities

Pre-construction: Attend and conduct project job walks; Prepare Request for Proposals; Analyze subcontractor proposals and generate Bid Tabulations; Produce quantity take-offs for multiple disciplines; Contribute constructability reviews as a member of the extended Design Team; Participate in the General Contractor proposal and interview process. Safety: Conduct daily project walks with the Superintendent; Work with Safety Director to establish Site Specific Safety Plans; Coordinate and review Job Hazard Analysis and High Risk activities with Safety Director and the construction team; Monitor and prepare safety reports for client requirements. Contract Administration: Draft Owner/Client contracts and Subcontract agreements for review; Function as main point of contact with Subcontractor field and office personnel; Review and prepare Subcontractor invoices for PM or PX approval on a monthly basis. Cost Control: Manage project budget and scope using ProLog; Identify, track and manage scope and change orders with Owner/Client and Subcontractor; Prepare and present Owner/Client change orders; Route and approve subcontractor and material invoices; Prepare internal project updates monthly; Execute financial close-out with Owner/Client and subcontractors. Document Control: Develop, track and manage RFI, Submittal and Change Order Logs; Generate action item lists and ensure follow-through; Update Master Drawing Set and logs; Distribute drawings, addenda, design changes, RFIs, submittals and documentation to the extended team; Monitor and log third-party testing, project access and logistics plans. Scheduling: Prepare, monitor and update Master Schedule; Work with the Project Superintendent to identify progress; Identify potential project impacts and propose solutions; Prepare 3-week rolling schedules. Meetings: Conduct weekly Subcontractor meetings with the Project Superintendent; Attend and contribute in weekly Owner, Architect and Contractor meetings; Present RFI, Submittal and Change Order Logs; Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and project documents to the extended team. Technical Ability: Leverage construction management background to identify field issues and propose solutions; Review subcontractor and vendor drawings and submittals; Conduct coordination meetings with Architects, Engineers and subcontractors; Interface with Architects and Engineers to resolve technical issues; Knowledge of cGMP/GLP and M/E/P/F concepts is beneficial. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture Minimum 4 years of commercial construction experience Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently Problem-solving and resourcefulness; fast-paced environment LEED AP preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, ProLog (or similar PM software), scheduling software (MS Project/Primavera), accounting systems, and estimating software Strong verbal and written communication skills Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.
