Medical Assistant/Secretary
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and versatile Medical Assistant/Secretary to join their healthcare team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing both clinical and administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of their facility and the exceptional care of their patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of medical assistant duties, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and assisting with minor medical procedures
- Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and handle medical billing and coding
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, including greeting, checking in, and addressing their needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all supplies and equipment are properly stocked and maintained
- Assist with general office tasks, such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and filing documents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Certificate or diploma in Medical Assistant (Required)
- Certificate or diploma in Medical Secretarial Studies (Preferred)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant (Required)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Current CPR and Medical Assistant certification
Working Conditions:
The work environment is fast paced, with a mix of clinical and administrative duties. The role may involve some light physical demands, such as standing for extended periods and assisting with patient transfers.
Hours & Compensation:
- Full Time
- Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
- $20-$23 per hour
