Senior Manufacturing Engineer
A leading provider in the design and production of high-performance materials for modern, mission-critical electronics.
Position Summary
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of specialized laminate and foil processes. They will design, implement, and optimize procedures and equipment used in production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improve existing manufacturing systems and equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collect and analyze production data using statistical methods to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
- Conduct product and material testing for internal teams and customers, including coordination with external testing services.
- Provide quality assurance guidance throughout manufacturing and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
- Support the Quality department in 8D reporting, Root Cause, and Corrective Action investigations.
- Create and maintain production records, SOPs, and testing reports.
- Lead improvement initiatives involving manufacturing equipment (hardware/software).
- Evaluate and implement safety-focused processes to reduce risks and enhance workplace safety.
- Provide technical expertise and support for specialized etch and laminate processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with IPC Quality Standards and MIL Testing Standards
- Familiarity with CAM350 or similar MCAD/ECAD tools
- SolidWorks (3D Modeling)
Skills
- Strong analytical and technical mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project management capability
- Proficiency with IT systems and software
- Hardware familiarity (power tools, soldering iron, DAQs, power supplies, testing equipment)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, or similar tools
