Senior Manufacturing Engineer

A leading provider in the design and production of high-performance materials for modern, mission-critical electronics.

Position Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of specialized laminate and foil processes. They will design, implement, and optimize procedures and equipment used in production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously improve existing manufacturing systems and equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collect and analyze production data using statistical methods to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Conduct product and material testing for internal teams and customers, including coordination with external testing services.
• Provide quality assurance guidance throughout manufacturing and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support the Quality department in 8D reporting, Root Cause, and Corrective Action investigations.
• Create and maintain production records, SOPs, and testing reports.
• Lead improvement initiatives involving manufacturing equipment (hardware/software).
• Evaluate and implement safety-focused processes to reduce risks and enhance workplace safety.
• Provide technical expertise and support for specialized etch and laminate processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with IPC Quality Standards and MIL Testing Standards
• Familiarity with CAM350 or similar MCAD/ECAD tools
• SolidWorks (3D Modeling)

Skills

• Strong analytical and technical mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project management capability
• Proficiency with IT systems and software
• Hardware familiarity (power tools, soldering iron, DAQs, power supplies, testing equipment)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, or similar tools
