This is a benefited, full time position working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located at Scripps Clinic Hillcrest. May be required to float to other sites to help with coverage as needed.

Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures & telehealth rooming/prep Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications #LI-EE1
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience working as Medical Assistant Insurance authorization with prior authorization experience
