Education: High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require specific technical training). Recent graduates are welcomed to apply.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in operating a wide variety of construction machinery.
  • Strong understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in challenging and potentially hazardous environments.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems and perform light maintenance.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift up to 100 lbs, work in varying weather conditions, sit for extended periods of time while operating machinery.

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Superintendent to join our construction team. As a Superintendent you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery to assist with construction projects. This includes, but is not limited to, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and other construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment, a strong safety orientation, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Work with Project Manager to manage projects.

  • Safely operate construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, graders, cranes, forklifts, and skid steers to perform tasks like excavation, grading, lifting, and hauling materials.
  • Use machines for trenching, site leveling, moving dirt, demolition, and material transport.
  • Assist in project coordination and project planning.
  • Site preparation: Level land, dig trenches, and clear obstacles; prepare land for foundations, roads, and infrastructure.
  • Material handling and transport: Load/unload and move materials; transport materials as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment aligns with project goals; communicate to coordinate operations.
  • Site clean-up and maintenance; perform minor maintenance like greasing parts and checking wear.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; report unsafe conditions.
  • Operate machinery with precision to meet project specifications; adjust operation as needed.
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical problems; report to maintenance; work with crew on solutions.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain logs of hours, maintenance, fuel; report incidents; ensure compliance.
  • Post-operation inspection: Clean machines and ensure safety features function.
  • Compliance with regulations (OSHA, local, state, federal); stay current with safety standards.
  • Training and skill development: Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on equipment and tech.
