Responsibilities

Delivery Driver responsibilities include picking up and dropping off automotive parts, adhering to routes and schedules, ensuring orders are fulfilled, and maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Key duties include:

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and time schedules, and use navigation tools as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading items at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle questions or concerns professionally.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile cash related to deliveries.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and report issues.
• Assist with store/warehouse duties as assigned and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 or older)
• Current auto insurance policy in your name
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision drivers), and occasional heavy lifting as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to manage money transactions and reconcile customer balances
• Proficiency with tablets or mobile devices for navigation, routing, and signature capture
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional and courteous interaction
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus

Note: You must meet all minimum requirements and qualifications to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority.
