Overview

Delivery Driver role at The Parts Authority. We have immediate career opportunities for Delivery Drivers in our rapidly expanding division. Company vehicle provided. Our drivers are the company representatives that interact with clients daily and must have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, accurate charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and select alternate routes as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interrupting operations at the customer’s location.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments and complete reports related to deliveries (invoices, return forms, reconciliations).
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the company delivery vehicle and notify management of any issues.
• Assist in other store/warehouse duties as assigned (stocking, parts pulling, etc.).
• Maintain and promote workplace safety and security of cash or other assets.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts drivers)

• Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer balances
• Ability to utilize a tablet/mobile device for navigation, route optimization, tracking and signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills; professional and tactful
• Ability to take and follow directions and work well as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
