The Parts Authority is hiring: Delivery Driver in Richmond

Overview

Delivery Driver role at The Parts Authority. We have immediate career opportunities for Delivery Drivers in our expanding division. Routes involve picking up and delivering automotive parts with a focus on excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and adapt to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile debts and credits, and handle funds related to deliveries as applicable.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance checks and notify management of issues.
• Assist in other store/warehouse duties (stock, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety.
• Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
• Current valid automobile insurance in your name
• Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 50 pounds; prolonged sitting (Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers must lift 75 lbs)

• Ability to manage money transactions and reconcile customer balances
• Ability to use a tablet/mobile device for navigation, tracking, and signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, professional with tact
• Ability to take directions and work as part of a team
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed (preferred)
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
• You must meet all above requirements to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority

Compensation: USD $16.00/Hr.
