Overview

We have immediate career opportunities for Delivery Drivers in our most successful rapidly expanding Division. Company vehicle provided. Our drivers are the company representatives that interact with our clients daily. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills. Parts Authority is one of the fastest growing supply chain companies in the country with promotable career advancement and job stability.

Responsibilities

  • Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
  • Take and follow directions from dispatcher, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with operations at customer sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
  • Adhere to all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), and reconcile money related to deliveries.
  • Complete daily vehicle maintenance checks when applicable and notify management of issues.
  • Assist with other store/warehouse duties as assigned (stock, parts pulling, etc.).
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Secure and transfer cash or other assets as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21 years old or over)
  • Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds (75 pounds for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage, track and account for money transactions and reconcile customer credit and debt balances
  • Ability to utilize a tablet and/or mobile device for navigation, routing, tracking and signature capture
  • Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills, professional and diplomatic interaction
  • Ability to take and follow directions and work well with others as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work overtime as needed (preferred)
  • Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
