Job Responsibilities Regularly provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors. Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others. Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations. Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technical areas. Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices. Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies. Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of practical experience. Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Advanced proficiency in Java. Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, including cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc. Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems. Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery. Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. Knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems. Experience with cloud-native development. Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FIX, Market Data, Analytics, OMS, and equities trading in global markets. Knowledge of KDB/Q, Python, shell scripting.
