Overview
General Dynamics Information Technology
is seeking a PowerApps Developer to support mission-critical initiatives for the Department of Energy (DOE) / National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In this role you will join a dynamic team working with stakeholders (business leaders and end users) to design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable low-code applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies to streamline operations, enhance data integrity, and support national security objectives.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
Develop and optimize Power Automate flows to automate workflows across departments.
Create scalable solutions that integrate with Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, SQL, and other data sources.
Design data models, relationships, and entities within Dataverse or alternative data platforms.
Partner with business units, analysts, and end-users to gather and validate requirements.
Present prototypes and gather iterative feedback to ensure high adoption and satisfaction.
Train end-users and super users on deployed apps and solutions.
Develop test plans and conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for all developed solutions.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for applications, workflows, data models, and processes.
Share best practices and mentor junior developers or citizen developers within the organization.
Develop, coordinate, update and maintain all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to include IT security standards.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other Information Technology related field.
Power Platform Proficiency: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform, including Canvas Apps, Model Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Top Secret Clearance and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.
Job Qualifications: Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft SharePoint, Test Plans.
Preferred Skills
Certifications: Microsoft Power Platform certification such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or equivalent.
Ability to create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, embedded within PowerApps or Microsoft Teams.
Experience with Power Apps Connectors: integrating Power Apps with Dataverse, SharePoint, and SQL.

The likely salary range for this position is $108,979 - $147,443. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
