Overview
The primary purpose of this position is to serve in a PALACE Acquire (PAQ) centrally managed position in the Logistics Career Field. This is a developmental position requiring the performance of assignments that are designed to further develop applicable analytical and evaluative skills and techniques. Open to: U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. The public notices indicate open dates 09/29/2025 to 09/28/2026. Responsibilities
Performs developmental assignments of moderate difficulty where work procedures are established and a number of specific guidelines exist. Independently performs recurring assignments of limited, but gradually increasing, difficulty and complexity. Participates in special initiative, studies, and projects. Works with other specialists in planning and conducting special initiatives, studies, and projects. Prepares written correspondence and other documentations. Drafts or prepares a variety of documents to include newsletter items, responses to routing inquiries, reports, letters, and other related documents. Qualifications
You may qualify for GS-7 if you meet one of the following: You have completed a 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) or one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-05 at the undergraduate level in one of the following: a) Class Standing – upper third of the graduating class; b) Grade Point Average – 2.95/4.0 or higher (or 3.45/4.0 in certain circumstances); OR c) Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society. You have one full year of graduate level study or a master’s degree in a relevant field. You have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower qualifying GS grade, with KSAs aligned to configuration and data management, communication, problem analysis, and planning. OR, a combination of graduate education and experience that equals 100% of the qualification requirements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of basic principles, concepts, and methodology used in configuration and data management. Skill in applying basic principles to perform entry-level assignments in configuration and data management. Skill in communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. Ability to analyze problems, gather data, and identify solutions. Ability to plan and organize work and consult effectively with coworkers. Education
