Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – Manager, CFO Services (Digital Finance) PEPI CFO Services focuses on helping private equity portfolio companies improve cash flow, EBITDA, and operational performance through credible plans and hands-on execution. This role supports PE firms to ensure portfolio companies have actionable plans and the ability to deliver financial outcomes. Base pay
$125,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr Professional expectations
Digital Finance Transformation Expertise and proven implementation experience Proven track record in assessing finance and accounting functions and implementing digital technologies to improve efficiency and transparency (e.g., RPA, Finance Analytics, NLG, Predictive Forecasting models) Finance and accounting process improvement expertise including process automation Knowledge of Digital Finance tools and vendors Experience implementing Digital tools for Finance in large public corporations or mid-size PE-owned portfolio companies Expertise in building predictive forecasting models Hypothesis / Scope Development
Connect with client to facilitate information gathering Guide and facilitate client interviews to ensure relevant data is collected and pursued Define analyses needed to test assumptions; ensure complete, accurate, and timely execution Apply industry and functional knowledge to identify business drivers and issues Develop framework given project parameters; develop actionable conclusions from analyses Project management and implementation; lead components of projects with multiple service lines; lead smaller projects independently Proactively manage client expectations and minimize risks Develop straightforward actionable plans and lead individual workstreams independently Design cash-generating initiatives, EBITDA improvements, and optimal organizational structure to drive client value Anticipate risks and obstacles, create contingency plans, and communicate timely with client Engage with senior management; obtain buy-in on actionable plans Leadership
Leverage industry expertise and prior professional services experience to guide team and promote innovative thinking Manage client relationships during the project Take accountability for client and team issues Build complimentary teams using team members’ talents and capabilities Financial acumen: proficiency in financial modeling, financial statements analysis, and accounting treatments Drive P&L and balance sheet accountability; use tools to drive change management Interpret financial statements and streamline processes Experience in Controllership, Finance and Accounting Advisory Services Qualifications
Graduate of accredited 4-year college/university in accounting, finance, economics (preferred but not required) Experience with Digital Finance technologies (RPA, Predictive Forecasting, Finance Analytics, NLG, data visualization) Over 8 years in Accounting/Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Restructuring, Investment Banking, or Private Equity Proficiency in understanding financial models, data analytics, and presentation skills CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master’s Degree preferred but not required The salary range is $125,000-$190,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography.
