Job Title: .NET Developer – Azure Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite) Position: Contract VISA: USC Note: This description includes multiple sections with responsibilities, qualifications, and preferred qualifications for the role. Responsibilities

The Applications Development Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end users to gather and analyze business requirements. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Design, develop, and maintain applications using Microsoft .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core). Implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL. Testing and Quality Assurance: ensure code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and adherence to coding standards. Deploy applications to development, test, and production environments using Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools. Monitor application performance and recommend improvements. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and deployment instructions. Continuous Improvement: evaluate new technologies and tools for potential adoption. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable. Minimum of 2 years of programming/systems analysis experience. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration patterns. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies in Azure environments. Experience in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC): requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Experience in code reuse strategies, component-based architecture, and modular design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with business analysts, customers, and cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. The Department prefers the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position: Over 5 years of programming or systems analysis experience. Experience in a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) environment. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Experience working in a large cloud migration program. Experience in state government. Microsoft certification in Azure or .NET technologies (preferred). Soft Skills: ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget; ability to design and implement technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies. Development and Lifecycle: experience with version control systems such as Git or Azure Repos. Technical Skills: hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure SQL Database, Functions, DevOps); proficiency in .NET Framework (C#) and .NET Core for developing scalable applications. Required Qualifications: note on security awareness training within 30 days of hire for candidates with access to the Department’s network. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: participate in code reuse initiatives and provide knowledge transfer and training as required. Deployment and Support: provide post-deployment support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed; conduct unit testing, integration testing, and participate in UAT. Assessment and migration guidance for SQL servers, including POC and collaboration with other teams on technical troubleshooting.
