Automation Engineer 2, DSM DeltaV Infrastructure
will provide engineering input on the design, implementation, configuration, and testing qualification of the hardware for an Emerson DeltaV control system. Once in operations, you will be responsible for and have ownership of the ongoing support of the control system hardware, software, and infrastructure. FUJIFILM Biotechnologies is building the future of bioproduction in Holly Springs, North Carolina. By end of 2025, we’ll open North America’s largest end-to-end CDMO biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility, offering drug substance production, fill-finish, and packaging under one roof. Performs automation activities, such as code configuration, document development, and test execution within several process areas Delivers accurate and on-time automation work Creates standard code utilizing medium complexity control strategies Collaborates with senior engineers to develop (generate, review, maintain) specification documents (e.g., URS, FS, DQ) Collaborates with senior engineers to develop (generate, review, maintain) test protocols and functional testing documents (e.g., IQ, OQ) Serves as on-call support for automation inquiries and troubleshooting Collaborates with other departments, such as Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Validation Other duties as assigned Knowledge And Skills
Effective communication, both written and oral Strong problem-solving skills Ability to effectively present information to others Ability to interpret and demonstrate knowledge of an automation subject area to internal partners Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field 2 years of automation, instrumentation & controls, or other relevant technical experience Preferred Requirements
3+ years of automation experience Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Will work in environments with potential respiratory protection requirements; may involve mechanical/production spaces with hearing protection; may require operation of a motor vehicle or powered industrial truck; may involve vision and physical tasks, climbing ladders, standing or sitting for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting up to 33 lbs, and other physical activities as described by the role.
