Liberty Bank is seeking a
Marketing Cloud Architect
to design, implement, and optimize personalized omnichannel customer journeys. This role will partner closely with Marketing, CRM, IT and Compliance teams to deliver scalable Marketing Cloud solutions that are aligned to Liberty Bank’s mission to improve lives and foster lasting relationships. In this strategic role, you’ll work within the technical Salesforce Center of Excellence ensuring alignment with Liberty Bank’s enterprise standards.
We’re looking for a senior technical resource with deep Banking and Marketing Cloud expertise with strong communication skills. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to the Marketing Team to articulate and champion design thinking, shaping Liberty’s customer journey.
Responsibilities
Own the technical architecture, design and delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, Email Studio, Personalization and Intelligence.
Architect and oversee integrations between Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, COCC core banking, and the Azure Data Warehouse using MuleSoft and APIs
Design and implement cross-channel campaigns with personalization driven by real-time data and behavioral triggers
Define and enforce data models, audience segmentation strategies, and contact governance practices
Translate marketing goals into technical requirements and scalable automation strategies
Lead development and review of AMPscript, SSJS, SQL queries, and data extensions
Collaborate with Data Analysts and Marketing Ops to optimize campaign performance and reporting
Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA, managing opt-outs, consent, and data retention
Serve as a SME and mentor to Marketing Cloud Admins and other stakeholders
Ensure adherence to Liberty Bank’s security, compliance and change management standards.
Demonstrate integrity and authenticity in your everyday interactions
Work with Liberty’s Salesforce Program Owner and internal Center of Excellence team members to support QA processes, review test plans, test coverage and help improve testing procedures.
Mentor Salesforce Center of Excellence team members, ensuring quality deliverables.
Qualifications
5+ years of Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, with a focus on architecture and implementation
Hands-on expertise with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and data modeling
Strong command of AMPscript, SQL, and API integrations
Experience architecting real-time and batch integrations using MuleSoft or similar platforms
Deep understanding of marketing compliance, data privacy, and preference management
Experience working with third-party integrations and APIs
Strong communications skills
Experience in agile development and project methodology strongly preferred
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science or years of commensurate experience is required
Experience in the banking industry is strongly preferred, financial services industry or a highly regulated environment is secondary.
Certifications and Licenses
Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (Marketing Cloud Consultant or Architect)
Other Requirements
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial services, including privacy and data security policies.
Ability to travel is needed to coordinate with external partners and attend industry events or training.
